BN locks up Petra September 23, 2008

Barisan Nasional has just scored a world’s first for Malaysia.

First blogger locked up without trial.

The fact that Raja Petra’s 2-year ISA detention order was signed by the Minister of Home Affairs just the night before his habeas corpus hearing this morning, shows Petra’s case is political, and has nothing to do with the waffle that BN has saying. It lends further credence to the fact that putting Petra into Kamunting is not negation of some of the articles and documents published in Malaysia. Otherwise existing laws which allows Petra to have an open trial would have been used.

Which makes us ask yet again, a question which everyone knows the answer to by now – who stands to gain in putting a prolific writer in a detention camp?

********

Right. And where is the promise of delivering us on 16/9/08 gone to?

As of now, it’s 23/9/08. 2.30 pm. Whilst we continue to remain in the dark as to whether PR & DSAI can pull off the change of gov’n, UMNO has moved in to consolidate its position. And the transfer of RPK to Kamunting is part of that consolidation process.

Next – DSAI? His hearing’s in the next couple of days…..what chance does he have?

EW – you & gang purpoted to go over to Taiwan in order “intercept” the MPs who may be supporting PR, jump over etc.

I still wonder, why do you & team needed to go, if DSAI has been saying way before that trip, that the list of MPs crossing over is certain.

I mean, why try to go & secure the support, if you already have it?

Or do you?

And so, whilst we wait, more innocent ppl are being exposed to the BN’s dirty methodologies…

I watch Malaysia news flow in day by day.
I am oversea for the last 2 GE. Next coming one whether its 4 weeks or 4 years from nowon, I and my family will fly back to vote for dignity.
I believe we are READY.

5. Myblog - September 23, 2008

The title of this piece says it all, it is the BN that has illegally detained and jailed RPK. A legitimate gormen will know that even ISA in its current form cannot be used to detain RPK and it is the civilian BN in Gormen garb that have illegally detained RPK citing the ISA.

It is for this reason that the ISA has to be abolished so that no other civilian in Gormen garb can misuse it.

What a shame, they have reduced the status and prestige of Malaysia to the likes of Zimbabwe and Burma. Treason is being commited against this country, and when PR forms Gormen, I hope that they will ensure due process in punishing the guilty who have use the law for their or their party’s gain.

We all pray that RPK will be able to bear this indignity and hopefully sometime soon, he as well as all other ISA detainees can be released.

It really hurts, just a blatant disregard of natural justice. Mr. Prime Minister, can you hear and see and if it is not your decision, surely you’d have picked up the political agenda of the invisible hand. ‘who stands to gain in putting RPK in the detention camp?’

8. Ahjajal - September 23, 2008

HM acted again a bully and coward. Malaysia a land of wonders
only UMNO. with their pet dogs MCA MIC and Gerakan.

9. wandererAUS - September 23, 2008

This act of cowardice, by the non performing Home Minister, must be strongly objected and despised.Take heart, his action will only generates hatred to the current administration and a blessing in disguise… more support will flow over to the Opposition. Should there be a change of govt, this evil man, must be made accountable for all his evil deeds.Let him also, be the first, ex-Minister to be put behind bars.

10. zulkifli abdullah - September 23, 2008

THE PRESENT HOME AFFAIRS MINISTER IS PERHAPS THE MOST FOUL OF ALL THE MINISTERS IN THE BADAWI CABINET.
HE WILL ONE DAY ANSWER FOR ALL HIS WRONG DOINGS.
BN’S TACTIC.
BN PRETEND TO EXCERCISE THE ISA
SO WE THE RAKYAAT OPPOSSE IT
AND ONE DAY WHEN THE OPPOSITION RULESS
THE OPPOSITION WILL REMOVE THE ISA ALTOGETHER
RIGHT.
THEN WHEN THE ISA IS CANNED AND IS NO MORE IN USE
ALL THE CROOKS IN THE BADAWI REGIME THAT WILL BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE WILL NOT HAVE TO ENDURE THE ISA ANYMORE
SMART MOVE ISN’T IT.
SEE HOW THEY PLAY THE RAKYAAT AND THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY

11. Palaniappan - September 23, 2008

Just returned from the sessions court and was utterly disgusted to hear that RPK was detained for 2 years under ISA and he is already in Kamunting. The order was signed only last night by the Home Affairs Minister.

I feel we can’t do anything for RPK unless we change the government. Days are passing by with lots of rumours around but nothing substantial. May be PR is working behind the scene but DSAI too will be put under ISA when he goes to the court this week.

Anything can happen under BN and the sooner we get rid of them the better it is for RPK, other detainees and for the whole country.
We can’t tolerate anymore.

12. koli - September 23, 2008

its very evidend that all umnoputra haveclosets in their cubboards.thet are beingpushed backed to the wall andthey are suffering in silence.literally trying to close the mouths of the raakyat.i have a suggestion, i can speak to my uncle MR karpal singh to defend the first three umnoputras to defend them in the courts.its on a first come first basis. hurry up time is limited. take advantage of the offer while stocks last.

13. Edi神 - September 23, 2008

RPK is finish,

UMNO gonna sodomize him in ISA till he can shit standing!

HABIS

14. HLee - September 23, 2008

In my opinion, there is insufficient reason and basis to detain RPK in Kamunting. He is not a threat to the nation.

He has in fact done the country a service by making transparent many facts and analysis on his blog which without it, we as a voting citiziens in an avowed democratic system would be the less wiser.

If anything, he is a towering Malaysian like Anwar Ibrahim. History will exonerate him as such, whether the ruling UMNO likes it or not.

I say, free him. Free people like him who is prepared to sacrifice himself for the national good. Without people like RPK, we cannot be a great nation. Our history of modern Malaysia needs people like RPK.

Free him!

15. Johnny Cheah - September 23, 2008

Syed Hamid Albar, you have done it again. You do this during the fasting month. BRAVO! You really got no conscience. What RPK wrote in Malaysia Today have done no harm to the BN/UMNO government. If what he wrote have caused the BN/UMNO government any harm. Then by now the opposition will be the ruling party and you will not be using the ISA on anyone. During this period where it is a holy month for the Muslims you have given RPK family extra worries which they don’t deserve. Can you ever imagine if you were the one sent to detention in Kamunting during the month of Ramadhan instead of RPK. HOW WOULD YOUR FAMILY FEEL!

16. ernest cheah - September 23, 2008

eliz
this is something RPK and many others expected even MrsRPK said about it. Of cause it also hurts me very much as a citizen, what can we do to a 51years old tree with their trunk so deep rooted in the earth. Let just wait and pray something, somehow or rather changes is on the way. May we pray to all god’s help for RPK and the country.

17. Laliloo - September 23, 2008

Well, RPK put all his money on Anwar to win the race, but Anwar lost his way along the way. Sometime he is in the woods and sometimes stucked in the mud.
Anwar, it’s time to come home now. Better be late than never.
As long as you cross the finish line, you’ll be fine
…….but don’t take too long, or I may lose my patience.

We call upon all the Rakyats of Malaysia to sign a Petition to be sent to the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong to release RPK from his detention under ISA because there is a hidden agenda of a conspiracy of using his detention to silence him so that he could not further release more evidences against the real C4 murderers of Altantuya because all the accused were all fall guys of the real murderers because they all did not have a real motive to murder the Mongolian Lady.

THE NEW DAWN OF MALAYSIA HAS COME & THE FIRST THING IS TO ALLOW APPEALS & THEN RELEASE ALL ISA DETAINEES, ABOLISH ISA, OSA, SEDITION OR WHATEVER ACTS THAT COULD BE EXPLOITED AND MADE PREJUDICIAL AND OPPRESSIVE TO THE VOICE OF DISSENT FROM ALL THE RAKYATS.

It is very easy to generate Police Reports against DSAI by using Penang Mamak Umno’s 25 Members headed by Wan Abidin Zain, who claimed to be non-partisan, using their uneasiness that most Penangites will now be boycotting Nasi Kandar one more round???

It is very Sad that the legacy of Malaysian Independence is reduced by this Moronic Flip Flop Coward into great disrepute and a laughing stock of the whole world and knowing very well that the UMNO Government has technically collapsed and but he has decided to shamelessly still cling on to power via dubious means like hiding himself via using of the ISA and we cannot imagine that the Malaysia Moronic Flip Flop Coward has now stoop so low and using the Police Deputy IGP as his willing tools especially the Deputy IGP’s clearly taking side as the Police must be neutral and should be not politiking for him.

The Coward Moronic Flip Flop Chicken dare not meet DSAI face to face to settle matters but chose hiding under the use of ISA and that is what you have as a disgraceful cowardice leader for UMNO.

After 51 years MALAYSIA IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE but backwards because of the Oppression from the UMNO goons’ divide and rule fear tactics the Rakyats have matured & you must see all this coming because All The Rakyats of Malaysia are all fed-up & can no longer with-stand the hypocrisies, bullshits, lies and deceits of these UMNO Clowns now in Power ok???

We urge all BN Components MPs with a conscience to do the necessary to make possible a New Malaysia for all Rakyats of Malaysia so that all our children and their children & their children’s children’s future will be safe and secured in the Country we all love and not be intimidated by those UMNO Clowns now in power with their oppressive & fear tactics and in the verge of making Malaysia a Police State if left unchecked otherwise. Save RPK as he is the midst of a conspiracy of the real murderers of Altantuya to silence him for good, instead of being C4ed he could be poisoned and worse off if he is on hunger strike by himself. The Acting IGP is defending the Police position after being made the tools of UMNO’s fear tactics & so he is now making lame excuses for being the Stringed Puppet to be easily manipulated by the Puppeteer, power that be. The Deputy IGP must be held personally responsible for the safety of RPK who has been heard to be tortured otherwise he must be made to eat his own medicine come the New Dawn of Malaysia.

Moronic PeeM and Botak Home Minister last minutes’ attempts to cling on power by using the fear tactics of using the ISA at their whims and fancies selectively against dissent & tried to deny their own actions as they now have no balls to face the wrath of the all the Rakyats of Malaysia. ONE DAY THE MORONIC BOTAK AND FLIP FLOP AND C4 MUST BE MADE TO TASTE THEIR OWN MEDICINE OK?

All Rakyats of Malaysia will see to that these Clowns will be thrown out soon come the New Dawn of Malaysia & that all Rakyats of Malaysia will welcome the New Malaysia on Malaysia Day 916, 2008 for a Malaysia for All Malaysians.

Justice MUST BE DONE for Altantuya and for all those detained under ISA without the trial nor the rights of appeal. Light-up a Candle in the Lantern of the Mid-Autumn Festival for them all to usher in the NEW DAWN OF MALAYSIA COME 916, 2008

23. Ken Lee - September 23, 2008

I am sure RPK has a loyal following of more than the Hindraf bravehearts who braved the water canons and other atrocities committed on fellow human beings.

This is the time for Malaysia Todays’ ‘free loaders’ aka ‘ardent followers of RPK’ to demonstrate their love and appreciation for what RPK has given to all of us above self.

I can only think of not celebrating the upcomign Raya and deepavali festivities instead let us go to our temples, churches, mosques and viharas to offer a mass prayer for RPK. Surely if the god(s) has/have ears our prayers will be answered. God bless you RPK. This is what we call in Tamil “Satya Sothanai”.

24. rider - September 24, 2008

we have prayed our prayers , signed the petition and commented on th blogs, let’s now act, let’s boycott all newspapers till RPK is freed, all of us who are angry about this madness, LETS START BY NOT BUYING ANY PAPER AT ALL! and we switch off all tv news.

Okay, guys, it has indeed been depressing for all of us eversince Pete was arrested by the UMNO hoodlums who categorised him as a threat to national security?????? If indeed he was a threat to national security, I am just wondering how come there haven’t any riots as his Malayisia-Today website has been up and running for a few years now. Anyway, shot of storming the “Bastille” in Kamunting, let us sing this song together, showing him, Marina and the kids that they are not alone during these moments of tribulations.

27. The Enforcer - September 26, 2008

You bunch of yellow-bellied whiners USED RPK. You idiots cheer him on and prodded him to produce more and more “revelations” while pledging to join him arm-in-arm in battle against the SupremeWarlords of this country.

This poor old chap took your collective words — plus Anwar’s 916 stunt — and became a one-man battering ram against the might of the State. And you sleazoids gleefully submit the same old UMNO-hating, Malay-hating utterly racist turd after every new posting, protected by the anonymity of cyberspace. In fact, not more 20-30 of these hard-core RPK junkies account for 90% of the posts, regurgitating the same old message of hate against the Malays.

And when the hero in this telenovela ended up in the hellhole, what happened? You chickensh!ts don’t even dare to sign the petitions, let alone pushing his cause on the streets.

RPK (and poor Marina and kids) were conned by you scums. You idiots outsourced your politicking to him while you cheer him on from the comfort of your beds and plush offices. Damn you cowards!

Marina, close down MT. These cyber-parasites don’t deserve your attention. Damn parasites.

Oh yes, RPK is doomed. He’s gonna get it big time from the SupremeWarlords. Oh, forget Anwar. He’s just like you people. Use others for his cause.

Damn, how can you leeches sleep at night after what you did to RPK and family!
