‘Cowards’ and pondans August 19, 2007

During the MCA Youth meeting, the SIL sat there, blur like sotong, while MCA Youth chief hentam ‘certain quarters’ for waving the keris, contrasting with how they, MCA, would prefer to wave the Federal Constitution.

SIL was said to be ‘unhappy’ as some vital bits didn’t appear in the BM translation of the text, and according to Malaysiakini, when the two macho boys met after,

The brief encounter was believed to end in an atmosphere of embarrassment.”

Meanwhile, there was no reprieve for bloggers during the Umno meeting on bloggers today. The Information chief, Mat Macho Tyson called writers of political blogs, ‘cowards‘ and ‘pondan‘.

(I think the latter term was also used in opposition chants in Ijok whenever the Umno Youth chief appeared, and that was said to have sparked off the bottle-throwing incident)

I don’t know… pretending to be illiterate in English when caught at the Australian Immigration checkpoint with bags of money seems more cowardly… no?

‘Blog Writers Are Actually Coward’ – Muhammad

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 18 (Bernama) — Umno information chief Tan Sri Muhammad Mohammad Taib has described writers of political blogs, whom he says looked brave in criticising government leaders, as cowards.

“Why I say they are coward? Because they are afraid of using (web) addresses in the country but use overseas addresses to slam our country leaders. Is this the character of a man? This is not a man, this is a ‘pondan‘.

“How dare they say no one can touch them, no one can drag them to court because no laws can be used to take action on them,” he told reporters after a meeting of Umno’s information chiefs from the divisions nationwide.

Muhammad was commenting on allegations that Umno leaders were afraid to speak up and face bloggers.

He said Umno leaders were not afraid to response to all allegations contained in the blogs but were sure that despite the replies, the bloggers would not take the side of the government.

Umno Youth vice chief Khairy Jamaluddin who attended the function, said he was not afraid to face and have dialogues with political blog writers if they were ready to face him.

“To most of the allegations, I have responded before this and last year. Most of them are recycled and re-written in different styles.

“I’m not afraid… I’d answered all the allegations but were not posted in the blogs. If their minds and attitude are closed, they cannot accept any of our replies,” he said.

He said attacks on individuals were not serious and it was up to the victims to sue but more attention should be given to attacks on institutions especially the government and rulers as well as against religions and races because of the sensitivities involved.

Also present at the meeting, held behind closed doors at the Putra World Trade Centre, was Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

I think something very sickening is being brewed.

This report quotes almost the entire malay section of the song and left some out. Why a small portion is left out?

[Lagi lagu Meng Chee hina Melayu]

And, in the same day papers, hero is talking!
[Pak Lah ikrar pertahan maruah, harapan Umno]

Bolehland’s politics is sick to the core.

MCA trying to fix its “pondan” image…

6. arifabdull - August 19, 2007

hasilox, i agree with u. and, i smell the unexpected worse situation is underway, looking at how all of this greedy politicians harping the racial issues… why Harian Metro playing and keep on harping the racist?
In printed version, they put responds by Jasin, Kinabatangan and Larut MPs
the only reason for them to play this is to provoke and hoping the angrily Malays will save the status quo, the chinese will keep support MCA.
so, they need Namewee and bloggers as the scapegoat.

7. ghostline - August 19, 2007

EW, how about Mat’s denying that he’d run off with the Sultan’s daughter, for fear of royal wrath coming down on his head? Itu cukup jantan, ya? Poor Sultan’s daughter must have felt so cheated.

Haha, do we really expect intelligent statements to come out of the likes of Mat Tyson? It’s like expecting a pig to sing opera. Not that I’m calling Mat Tyson a pig, no, no, I wouldn’t dare to…I’m a coward…

8. wits0 - August 19, 2007

“Umno information chief ..”

From an Antediluvian age when a big club was the accepted logic.

‘Pondans and cowards’, eh, he must be really frustrated because he can’t spit out their fav curse word of “communists”, as well.

9. hasilox - August 19, 2007

arifabdull, it’s very sick to use a one-nobody’s idiocies to whip up the bad sentiment of the entire nation just to score political points. To them, it’s just a game. But, there are many people out there who can’t rationalize.

Back to taib. Why a not-pondan don’t dare to admit his marriage to his FIL? Maybe the FIL is not as ‘good’ as some FILs. At least still should act like not pondan mah.

10. broadsidemalaysia - August 19, 2007

Perhaps it’s the MCA youth’s way of telling Khairy, “what you don’t hear, won’t hurt”.

11. Chee Yong - August 19, 2007

MCA really pisses me off. Now everytime I hear this alphabets, it makes me naik hot only. A party that best packs up it bags and close shop la.

12. bayi - August 19, 2007

MCA is at best UMNO’s sidekick.

Shout a lot (learnt from MIC but short of fighting with chairs and bottles every time) during meetings to lend courage to each other and then shut up with a whimper when confronted. Show some results, MCA.

Imagine. Getting Wee to apologise and then let him go through what the the agony of not being forgiven.

Did MCA speak up about Zakaria Deros, about the “close one eye MP, the ” bocor” MPs, etc. etc.?

No more rhethorics, MCA. Do something to show some guts.

13. lucia - August 19, 2007

it is very insulting to use the word pondan! is this mat taib implying pondans are cowards?

ahh… so i see the attack on bloggers goes on…..

14. arifabdull - August 19, 2007

ghostline, you means the pig singing opera? wakakakaaa 😀

OMG arifabdull, I didn’t realise there actually was a real porker tenor! They are so much more cultured than I imagined!

I apologise unreservedly to all members of the porcine race for my ignorant racist comments. I have insulted their feelings by calling Mat Tyson an opera pig. They are far more cultured than Mat Tyson ever will be.

Not that I’m insulting Mat Tyson, no no… I’m a coward… bwak bwak bwak…

17. arifabdull - August 20, 2007

i cant believe what i saw, but this SEXIST Mat Taib hottest picture with a girl… LoL! nice pic, indeed.

18. monsterball - August 20, 2007

hahahahaha…And in newspapers….MCA said they have no master or a slave to anyone in the BN.
PM said he is fair to all parties…meaning forget Mahathir’s dictatorial and racilalstic rule for 22 years…..trust me…and forget others still in UMNO as racialistic ministers. He is saying he can do wonders.
These are signs..election very near….same style…same catch words…keep appealing to voters with hollow words…..did succeed for 50 years..but I have strange feeling…that the younger generation is no easy meat to be caught up this hypocritical acts.. Majority malay voters are also against UMNO…now are the Chinese and Indians to decide.
But alas!! Besides DAP and PAS… Anwar have not proven his worth by loosing case against TDM. Had he won to have case on…then voters may trust him more.
So makes the Chinese and Indians voters job… very difficult.

19. wits0 - August 20, 2007

Instigators and demagogues are often cowards. And ultra racist like M2M is both a rabble rousing instigator and uses demagoguery as his raison d’être.

Otherwise he might have answered to RPK’s broadside.

20. ivan yang - August 20, 2007

Why shud MCA youth need to explain to the sil? It shud be the sil to explain to the MCA youths!! Does the youth chief dare to say this? Useless MCA! Cant say more!

21. bamboo river - August 20, 2007

MCA Youth should have said it in Bahasa Malaysia. Period.

22. oA - August 20, 2007

Same shit different day.

If there were genuine trust in the first place – these useless leaders wouldnt have to go around explaining every thing everytime around.

The fact is there were no trust among them. They are just filling their quotas – securing their jobs, fill their pockets and screw the rest.

That is how they have been operating since the day the useless second pm introduced all those useless policies that are screwing the country big time.

When the 2 “macho” boys met after.. Eliz Wong.. I believe it must be a slip of your fingers .. Macho?? They may look macho .. but than looks can be deceiving. They don’t act and think macho ! Not even as macho boys , not to mention macho men ! Their behaviour more like chickens ! Wee brians, always scratching on the surface only and shitting everywhere. Truly bleak future for Msia if we continue to vote BN and let these 3rd rate chickens lead the country.

24. wits0 - August 20, 2007

Where is M2M?

Benny, the MCA cockerel also is a transvestite, ma, it lays eggs too. RPK is correct to call that animal a pondan.

29. arifabdull - August 21, 2007

“sex orientation such as heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, transvestite, lesbian, gay & etc aren’t inherited disorder nor disease,” according to a doctor in an Indonesian TV talk show, in 2003.
