I knew there would be hell to pay for a blissful week without internet, news and manic phone calls.
Today’s theme is ‘Fish’.
First, the PM called us ‘yu sang’. Eh?
Then, one had to read about how fantastic the government is at resolving problems. How about this blatant act of “fishing for more” by the Immigration Department down south.
Tonight on TV3, I watched the PM’s sidekick, Minister Muhyiddin, talking about fishermen. Last year’s catch went down 5%. And the good Minister concluded it had to do with the presence of diesel subsidy because apparently, back in the old days, no subsidy was given and yet the catch was plentiful.
Never mind the fact our catch has been dropping since 2004. Global warming anyone? Overfishing? Naw… Cut the subsidy! Make ’em fish more!
What a genius! I’ve always suspected that apart from ACA, Income Tax checks, BN also insists on an IQ check. The PM should make this guy his new DPM.
Now you wonder why BN isn’t called “Bebal Nasional”.
