Mana ada bocor, Batu Gajah pun tiap-tiap bulan pun bocor juga.” (“Where got leak. Batu Gajah leaks every month too.”)
– Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN Umno – Kinabatangan), in an attempt to divert attention from the leaky multi-million ringgit Parliament building to something else that was on his mind.

This must happen only in Malaysia.
In Parliament, of all places.

Thank *you* for voting BN.
Really.
Yes … *you* ….
Thanks a lot.

Updated:

The Speaker rejected the emergency motion to censure Kinabatangan and Jasin.

House Leader of Opposition, Lim Kit Siang was quoted as saying, “The Kinabatangan MP (Mokhtar) behaved as though he has no mother, or daughters or sisters. And the BN can thump unashamedly at the rejection of the motion on technical ground.”

In his blog, he was blunter, “My objection and those from other DAP MPs were of no avail, and it was most sickening to see BN MPs cheering as if they had won some great victory – when what they had done was the despicable and disgraceful act of giving solidarity to Mohd Said and Bung Mokhtar for their vulgar, sexist and offensive remarks against women.”

I’m so going to tell my mother about this.

BONUS
Glossary of Malaysian Politicians: –

Batu Gajah
MP Fong Po Kuan from DAP. From my alma mater, Methodist Girls’ School, Ipoh. Particularly keen on debates pertaining to civil rights, youth, national service and women. Adept at spotting procedural matters as well as waving ‘The Book’ at the Speaker and the backbenchers. Also known as ‘cili-padi’ for her feisty performance in the Lower House, often ending her hours there with a hoarse, raspy (IMHO – sexy) voice.

Kinabatangan
MP Bung Mokhtar Radin from BN-Umno. Not from my alma mater. Known for vulgar, offensive behaviour in the Lower House. Obsessively puts his foot in his mouth on just about anything under the sun, in particular Air Asia and women. Forms the ‘f*rk-the-opposition’-tag-team with Jasin’s (‘close-one-eye’) Mohd Said Yusuf and Jerai’s (‘keluar-dari-Malaysia’) Badruddin Amiruldin. All three are not known for their ‘hotness’.

This is my first time commenting. U have said it loud and clear.. and its only in Malaysia! In any other countries, such parliamentary reps. would have been rapped and have to stand down. Such male chauvinistic actions should never be tolerated!

2. dorjee - May 10, 2007

There are many vulgar and ugly parliamentary reps in the world such as Taiwan and Japan in the 90’s but Malaysia is the only country with stupid, lying and can-do-anything reps! and only from BN. (cili padi herself was suspended… once!)

3. cherasusie - May 10, 2007

just ask those hypocritical muslims… are you challenging allah? koran teach you all these? do you pray 5 times? if yes, how come you can utter such unislamic shits?

4. vt - May 10, 2007

Why is it that our parliament has such a huge number of jerks in the whole wide world? is it because we “boleh”?

5. AnakBapa - May 10, 2007

Bung Mukhtar is a known gangster from Sabah. From my observation this guy came from a troubled background. He has been relentlessly causing a lot of stupid and embarassing scenes in the parliament….

And what do you expect from UMNO leaders ……….

6. Nstman - May 11, 2007

I am sick of the thugs from Barisan. they make me puke.

7. nolime - May 11, 2007

vt has literally spelt it loud. “Malaysia Boleh”. Apa-apa pun BOLEH terjadi.

8. Kean-Jin Lim - May 11, 2007

He forgot his female family members and relatives have that “bocor” every month too. Actually, he is discriminate his own female members and his relatives too.

Without that “bocor” every month on female, how can a new life form? He really needs to do more science before he opens his mouth.

Gender equality ? Quote your phrase “MY FOOT”.

9. Crankshaft - May 11, 2007

Only in Bolehland can we have these kind of village idiots in our parliament. I am SO embarrassed.

The question is: How does one get rid of the BN and all the junk that goes with it?

12. Angry Taxpayers - May 11, 2007

Basically, these people were not born from mothers’ womb but rejects from some twilight zone. That’s the only reason i can think of for their utter disrespect for the womenfolk. Shameful.
Luckily, my vote has never been wasted on these retards.

13. mc - May 11, 2007

Winston, it’s simple. Are you a voter? If not, get registered and try to vote somewhere where your vote will make a difference. Secondly, convince all your friends and relatives who don’t vote that it’s time for them to get off their behinds and do something. We are not asking them to go out and protest [altho they’re welcome to… :)] but Malaysia will be getting worse and worse if we don’t show our displeasure. How can we face our children and grandchildren if we never did anything about stopping the rot? BTW, I’m speaking for those who don’t have the luxury of “leaving if you’re unhappy in Malaysia”. We are Malaysians and we should have the right to stay, full stop. We must refuse to be “dihalau” out by keris-wielding, sexist, racist and vulgarity-spewing thugs.

14. bique - May 11, 2007

in a way, the people who voted for these 2 “no-brain” wild-boars are to be blamed. so think again before voting for them in the next election!!

15. Leslie Omar - May 12, 2007

It is very clear to me that our Bumi/Muslim MPs have no respect for women. Maybe it is because the prophet Mohamad says women are deficient in intelligence, that is why these people have no respect for women.
I have not heard our chinese MPs make deragoratory remarks about women, but it is always from these sector. I have always felt that chinese men have more respect for women, and time and time again I am proven right.

16. koolgeek - May 13, 2007

You guys are just wasting time. If they can get away with crimes with One Eye Closed, what’s with these kinda remarks?

Why don’t you guys do something better than crying on the internet over this?

Is there a petition that I can sign to make sure some action is taken against these two idiots? Did they not use their brain before they uttered such nonsense. I wonder if they realised that their mother also ‘bocor’ every month and their wives as well. That’s how they came about!! Such a disgrace to the nation!

People.. pls do not stereotype malays and muslims with such degoratory remarks. I’m as pissed off as you too but there’s no need to stoop down as low as those monkeys. Generally, the educated and open-minded malays do not condone this type of behaviour. But they were voted in by the majority so what can we we do? Similarly, in the US, Bush is despised by many but yet he has the support of the majority, which are mostly the rednecks. Hence that’s democracy for you my friends.

Bung’s mum should have bocored rather than conceive this sub-primate who resembles the missing link in the evolution of monkey to man. When he was born, the doctor slapped his mum rather than the baby and his mum punched his father having seen the face of the idiot born. At school he was retained at kindy for 12years. Was sent straight to Mara, who gave him direct entry to their courses, was given a Phd based on his capability to be an absolute moron. He is a disgrace ad should be placed in a cage and fed bananas everyday.
