A Sinking “Titanic” (BN) in Malaysia? (The show has just begun!)

Malaysia’s Titanic (BN) was deemed unsinkable when it was first launched. Even when it hit an iceberg on 8 March 2008, it was so hard to accept that the ship will sink. When all efforts to save the ship from sinking was finally abandoned, the Captain (DSAB) just stood silently awaiting the fate as a forlorn man. He was hoping the Carpentia or some other nearby ships will come in time to save the passengers. It was sad to see the Captain firing off some distress flares to alert the Carpentier, but the Carpentier’s Captain (DSNTR) was just not convinced that the Titanic was in distress.

In between is a love story of Leonardo DiCaprio (DSAI) and Kate Winslet (Azizah). Azizah refused to abandon her love, even though many a times, events show she should just save herself. She held on to hopes, hoping against hope that she and her love can pull thru and both will survive this tragedy. Both suffered mentally and emotionally and in the end, it was Azizah left to tell the tale of a great man who sacrificed himself to save her.

As for the crew of the Titanic (Little Napoleons) and their friends who are rich and powerful corporate figures, who helped run the ship, did you see the desperation when they found out that the ship is really sinking. Most of them scramble to save their lives and abandon ship and some, with loads of money found they can’t buy anything they wanted, even a place on a lifeboat to save their lives (TDM migration). But not all, for there was a few brave Napoleons who tried to show they are committed to the name of Titanic (BN) and the show continues.

There was an old couple who just lay in bed waiting for the ship to sink (MIC & PPP) abandoned by the young and too old to move around anymore. There were also musicians still playing the ship’s songs (MCA, PBB, LDP, PBRS, PRS, SAPP, SPDP, SUPP, UPKO) and died like true musicians dedicated to their role of love for music. There were also some crew (GERAKAN) still working to plug the leaks at the bottom of the ship until they themselves died thinking they were heroes not knowing the ship cannot be saved just by plugging some holes.

Do you know who was the director of Titanic (BN) show? James Cameron (TDM).

Did you know this show was shown around the world?

Did you know Malaysia has some of the best actors and actresses and supporting casts?

Anyway, it was just a movie, for the real show has only just begun!

What started as a dream, after the landslide victory for AAB in 2004, is now ending as a nightmare!
If he has fulfilled the promises he made to the electorate, we would have a great country; instead what we have today is a country wracked by the worst kind of problems that are normally faced by the African countries.
His mandate is completely wasted.
Not only that he has also wasted the precious time of the people who had hoped for a better future.
Now, we would have to pick up the pieces after he is booted out.

I believe most of the supporters of Anwar is mistaken. Judge the man and his party by his actions, not proclaimations.

He failed when he was DPM till 1999. What has he done in the intervening 9 years? I don’t believe he will make a difference, if not making it worse for Malaysians. I wish everyone should stop worshipping the 63 year old man who has naught but a huge bank account for himself.

Now, he wants to be Prime Minister, by buying votes. In my world, its called corruption. What’s the weather on your planet?

People should be judged individually for who he is, not who his father is or father-in-law is. People are just fedup of all the injustices and corruptions happening in this country infront of our faces and its blatantly swept under the carpet.

Now, the dung is getting too big for the carpet and its overflowing. Millions and possibly billions worth of people’s money are lost over 5 decades due to wasteful and leakages. So sickening that there are not enough of ventilators in govt hospitals (ie. only 20 units in a big hospital with 310beds) , lack of jobs, food, electricity, clean water for the poor, while UMNO spent RM218mil (still hutang) on paraphenalia for the March 8th Gen Election. What kind of mentality is this? Where are their priorities? Obviously BN pockets first of course. We have read former UMNO PM’s son amassing great wealth from hundreds of public listed companies and they called them “capable”. What a whole lot of crock! And it is certainly no mistake dear ourtable.

i am a resident of bandar utama and it gets me hopping mad after reading the sun paper today on the land grabbing of utility lands in bandar utama.
as Adun of Bukit Lanjan which covers Bandar Utama, I would be writing to you (e-mail address please) to seek ways to reclaim whats due to the residents. Of course, i will also be writing to the residents association on this matter.
I am also surprised that this issue has not been highlighted by the new selangor government under Tan Sri Khalid. The corrupts must be named and shamed. And I understand it includes political parties ie MIC and Gerakan as well as individuals ( of course linked to the old Exco and ex-MB).
And kudos to the Sun Paper which highlighted this land grabbing again.

I am so happy to be there…witnessing the most expensive…the most serious by-election UMNO have ever undertake…with all their big guns there….but Albar did not speak.he gave out money!
And now….when UMNO lost…what do they say…small matter..expected…this and that.
They were hoping Anwar will win by a very slim margin…like less than 1000….then just watch their big mouths taking cock and bull.
Yes….so nice to see Anwar back in Parliament…..in style!!
It’s a small positive step to a giant mission.
Let us help him to get into Putrajaya…….even 16th Sept do not materialized. He is fighting against all odds and a very unfair opponent..
Don’t judge him……help him.

Here’s another gem dug out from way, way back in the good ol’ days of the US of A, when things were quite plain, simple and straightforward.

We could draw inspiration from …..

The following, which is the text of the Virginia Declaration of Rights (1776):

I That all men are by nature equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.

II That all power is vested in, and consequently derived from, the people; that magistrates are their trustees and servants, and at all times amenable to them.

III That government is, or ought to be, instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security of the people, nation or community; of all the various modes and forms of government that is best, which is capable of producing the greatest degree of happiness and safety and is most effectually secured against the danger of maladministration; and that, whenever any government shall be found inadequate or contrary to these purposes, a majority of the community hath an indubitable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to reform, alter or abolish it, in such manner as shall be judged most conducive to the public weal.

IV That no man, or set of men, are entitled to exclusive or separate emoluments or privileges from the community, but in consideration of public services; which, not being descendible, neither ought the offices of magistrate, legislator, or judge be hereditary.

V That the legislative and executive powers of the state should be separate and distinct from the judicative; and, that the members of the two first may be restrained from oppression by feeling and participating the burthens of the people, they should, at fixed periods, be reduced to a private station, return into that body from which they were originally taken, and the vacancies be supplied by frequent, certain, and regular elections in which all, or any part of the former members, to be again eligible, or ineligible, as the laws shall direct.

VI That elections of members to serve as representatives of the people in assembly ought to be free; and that all men, having sufficient evidence of permanent common interest with, and attachment to, the community have the right of suffrage and cannot be taxed or deprived of their property for public uses without their own consent or that of their representatives so elected, nor bound by any law to which they have not, in like manner, assented, for the public good.

VII That all power of suspending laws, or the execution of laws, by any authority without consent of the representatives of the people is injurious to their rights and ought not to be exercised.

VIII That in all capital or criminal prosecutions a man hath a right to demand the cause and nature of his accusation to be confronted with the accusers and witnesses, to call for evidence in his favor, and to a speedy trial by an impartial jury of his vicinage, without whose unanimous consent he cannot be found guilty, nor can he be compelled to give evidence against himself; that no man be deprived of his liberty except by the law of the land or the judgement of his peers.

IX That excessive bail ought not to be required, nor excessive fines imposed; nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

X That general warrants, whereby any officer or messenger may be commanded to search suspected places without evidence of a fact committed, or to seize any person or persons not named, or whose offense is not particularly described and supported by evidence, are grievous and oppressive and ought not to be granted.

XI That in controversies respecting property and in suits between man and man, the ancient trial by jury is preferable to any other and ought to be held sacred.

XII That the freedom of the press is one of the greatest bulwarks of liberty and can never be restrained but by despotic governments.

XIII That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that, in all cases, the military should be under strict subordination to, and be governed by, the civil power.

XIV That the people have a right to uniform government; and therefore, that no government separate from, or independent of, the government of Virginia, ought to be erected or established within the limits thereof.

XV That no free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue and by frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.

XVI That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator and the manner of discharging it, can be directed by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore, all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that it is the mutual duty of all to practice forbearance, love, and charity towards each other.
